Public Notice - Auction
In accordance with Sections 263.151 through 263.158, inclusive, of Vernon’s Texas Codes Annotated Local Government Code, the County of Marion, State of Texas, hereby gives public notice of its intent to conduct an on-line auction thru Auctioneer Express to sell surplus items consisting of the following: New Holland Tractor with Boom Axe model EA5PVS, 1997 Big Tex 20’ Pintle Hitch Trailer, Ford Terrain King Tractor model EA454C.
All sales shall be finalized on an “as is, where is” basis and no warranties, either expressed or implied, shall be applicable to any property sold. The county reserves the right to withhold any item from sale and the Commissioners Court or its designated representative conducting the sale may reject any offer to purchase property if the Court or representative finds the rejection to be in the best interest of the county.
The on-line auction will be open for bidding the middle of September 2025 and will start ending on Tuesday, October 14th at 11:00 AM CST. The inspection dates and times to physically view and inspect items will be listed on the auction website, or call

Application for Indigent Attorney:
Marion County is accepting applications for an Indigent Attorney as well as a conflict indigent attorney according to SB7. The applications are due by Friday, October 31, 2025. Please contact the county auditor by phone or e-mail for a notice of application and sample contract guidelines at 903-665-7240 or shanna.solomon@co.marion.tx.us. Also you can visit the county website at www.co.marion.tx.us and click on the bids tab. The application will be awarded in Commissioner’s Court on Monday, November 24, 2025.
