Expunctions
Effective September 1, 2025
In accordance with Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Article 55A.253(c) the following is a list of agencies normally involved in the expunction process. Please note, the list is not all-inclusive and this notice does not represent a complete list of agencies and entities described by Subsection (a)(8)(A). It is the responsibility of the Petitioner to include in the petition all agencies that he/she believes has records or files that are subject to expunction.
For any agency or entity contained in the petition that does not list an email address, there is a $25.00 fee to cover the clerk’s expense of certified mail to transmit the petition with notice and final order. The petition should include both the physical or mailing address and the email address for each agency. A petition under this article may not list any state or local agency more than once or include multiple contacts or addresses for different divisions with respect to the same state or local agency.
